Facilities

Our state-of-the-art infrastructure allows us to seamlessly implement your HCA assays. Our collection of microscopes can accommodate standard 2D cellular assays up to demanding 4D cellular assays, as well as large-scale screening campaigns. The throughput and high level of consistency of our HCA workflow is critically supported by our cell culture and liquid handling facilities, and our dedicated IT infrastructure allows us to robustly score your phenotype of interest in 2D, 3D, and 4D.

Our experienced scientists have the know-how to work with a wide variety of cells: fungi and standard mammalian cell lines up to stem cells, iPSCs, primary cells, and organoids. They can also generate the appropriate reporter cell line best adapted to your assay. Our liquid handling facilities enable complex procedures for advanced cell cultures, medium changes, and compound treatments up to the HTS-grade 1,536-well format.

The core of our HCA platform relies on four fully automated HCS setups centered around three confocal Opera Phenix systems and one Operetta CLS system enabling the delivery of more than 400,000 data points per day. These systems are equipped with environmentally controlled plate hotels, allowing for unattended 24/7 data acquisition. Two automated ImageXpress systems and brightfield microscopes complement this offering.

HCA data handling is performed using a dedicated network based on fiber optics. Twelve workstations are dedicated to image analysis, and a GPU cluster is dedicated to AI-based image analysis using deconvolution networks. Relying on software tools enabling multiparameter analysis in 2D, 3D, and 4D (quantitative time series studies), our scientists have more than 20 years of experience in designing custom analysis pipelines that allow us to robustly score your phenotype of interest.
